Fear Journal
When I was a wee little boy, I was deathly afraid of the central vacuum system. It created a sound which penetrated my ears. Every time I ventured into the basement I could see the big tan cylinder that held all the contents of whatever we vacuumed in the previous days. Also located in the basement is a freezer, so every time i went down to the freezer for food i could see this horrible machine. One day I had to gander down to the basement freezer, as I reached the freezer someone turned the vacuum on. The loud sound of the vacuum startled me and with a flash and a scream I was back upstairs wondering what happened. I looked around for the culprit. My mother was casually vacuuming the living room, then it hit me. The loud sound, it was from the death machine, the central vacuum. Til this day it can give me a little shock when I hear it, but I'm a man now. Nothing scares a man.
